Are iced-out watches a good investment?
Almost never. Aftermarket diamond setting — bust-downs — typically destroys resale value on the base watch. Buy iced pieces because you love the look, not as a store of value.
Moissanite vs diamond watches — what is the difference?
Moissanite is visually nearly identical to diamond at roughly 5–10% of the cost, and passes most casual inspection. It scores 9.25 on the Mohs scale versus diamond's 10. For pure wrist presence per dollar, moissanite wins easily.
Is a gold watch worth the premium?

What is a bust-down watch?
A bust-down is a watch — usually a Rolex, AP or Cartier — that has been drilled and set with aftermarket stones covering the case and bracelet. Stunning visually, but it voids warranty and typically halves collector value.
